Welcome Leah Kennedy

We’re delighted to welcome Leah Kennedy to Your Voice Counts as our Head of Communities. Leah leads our services for people with a learning disability and autistic people in Gateshead and South Tyneside and joins us at an exciting time as we continue to launch and grow new place-based projects.

Leah said:

"Hello! I’m Leah Kennedy, and I’m thrilled to have joined Your Voice Counts as the new Head of Communities.

"I come from Mental Health UK, where I led young people’s programmes across England, combining operational and strategic oversight with hands-on experience co-producing projects. I’m passionate about making sure the voices of those with lived experience aren’t just heard, they shape everything we do.

"I’m excited to bring fresh ideas, keep our projects moving forward, and build on the amazing work already happening across Gateshead and South Tyneside.

"It’s such an exciting time for the Communities team, and I can’t wait to explore how we can grow together, inspire each other, and create even more projects that truly make a difference."
