Good Life Collaborative

Your Voice Counts is part of Good Life Collaborative which is a group of voluntary sector organisations that work closely with the learning disabled and autistic communities across the North-East and Cumbria. We first got involved with this initiative during Covid-19 lockdown periods when we worked together with the other organisations in the partnership to make sure people with learning disabilities and autistic people in our region got the support they needed during the pandemic. Between us, our organisations support 125,000 people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families to stay healthy, connected and safe. By joining forces and working together, we can help even more people and help to create widespread change that will develop and improve health, social and support services into the future. How are we working together?

Our organisations know that people in the learning disabled and autistic communities face huge health inequalities so we are focussing our collaboration on working with the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) to help them to listen to and co-produce their services with people with lived experience of learning disabilities and autism. At Your Voice Counts, we believe in listening to and empowering people with different needs and abilities to bring about positive change. Experts by Experience are at the heart of our organisation and guide everything we do so we are excited about the future of Good Life Collaborative and how we can work together with each other, the people we support and the Integrated Care System to make access to healthcare fairer for people with learning disabilities and autistic people in our region.

Look out for more information and updates about our work coming soon.
