Live Well project
Ben Jones from Tyne and Wear Museums has been coming and talking to a group of people over the age of 50 from Gateshead People about the history of Gateshead. The group explore many bits of local history, from the seven bridges on the Tyne to the history of Swinburne Place. Part of the course will include visiting the Discovery Museum’s archives and also walks around the local community. The project will be displaying some of their work in the Shipley Art Gallery at some point in September.
