At Your Voice Counts, we help vulnerable people find a voice and gain control over their lives. We help the people we support to speak up for what they want and need, to be better connected and to have choice and control in their lives.
Our values guide how we work, and we are all responsible for putting these into practice every day:
Promoting equality - We work to get equal opportunities for everyone
Learning and growing - We challenge ourselves and each other to help us get better at what we do.
Working together - We achieve more by working as a team than by acting alone.
Being person-centred - We put people's needs first
Being accountable - We are honest and take responsibility for our actions.
We provide statutory and case advocacy services, support self-advocacy and user-led groups, and provide community support including drop in sessions where people can get personalised help with a range of issues as well as online and face to face activities.
The role
This is a key role at Your Voice Counts, designed to provide administrative support to keep the organisation, services and groups running smoothly. In your role, you will provide a wide range of support, working with our Advocacy, Communities, and Senior Management Teams as well as our Board. You will join a small team that are the first point of contact for our diverse client base and complete a range of administrative tasks to help Your Voice Counts further our work with vulnerable people.
Our Administration Team is a valued part of the organisation that plays a central role in the running and improvement of our services and operations. This role provides a great opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge and experience in the operation, delivery and governance of an established local charity and to make a significant contribution to our continued success.
The role will be supported closely by our Programme Administration Team Leader which will involve the rotation of tasks within the team and a comprehensive programme of induction, training and one to one support.
At present, the role is hybrid between home based and office based.
Just as our values are key to our ways of working, attitude is key to our staff team. We are looking for someone who:
is responsive and considerate to individual circumstances and needs
is keen to learn and develop a range of knowledge that covers administrative tasks, our services and our client group
understands the value and importance of high quality administrative support and who will make a positive contribution to the culture and development of the Administration Team
is able to pay good attention to detail and to manage their workload well in order to cover a range of tasks and to meet deadlines.
enjoys working closely with others and is able to identify and meet a variety of support needs.
