Community Connectors getting people together

Thanks to a kind donation of pumpkins from our local Asda supermarket, we were able to host a special day of Halloween fun for the people who attend our Gateshead drop-in session for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

Our Community Connector Aliya was delighted to collect the (very large!) supply of pumpkins from Asda community champion Donna Robinson at the Asda Supercentre in Gateshead before a day of getting together and having fun carving pumpkins and trying out some Halloween crafts.

Our Community Connector roles were created to help people work towards their goals by providing opportunities for people to connect with others and supporting them to develop skills, confidence and independence. Taking part in new activities and developing relationships is a key part of this so we're incredibly proud of everyone who took part and send a big thank you to Asda for their support.
