Helping people with learning disabilities manage their money

Community Voice is a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund that we're working on in partnership with Vision & Hearing Support and Bliss=Ability.

The project is aimed at people who have learning disabilities, autistic people and people who are at risk of exclusion due to disability, sight loss or who are Deaf or hard of hearing and we organise regular sessions as part of the project to give people the chance to get together and develop their skills and experience.

We recently organised a session to help people learn more about their benefits and how working could change the amount they receive. Staff from the Department for Work and Pensions came along to talk about benefits, answer questions and provide information about the support that is available to help people find employment. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
