Support our Great North Runners!
We are a small, independent charity separate from funders and public bodies - we rely on support from our local community so the Great North Run is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. Can you support us this year?
Meet our runners! Find out why are runners are supporting us and click on their names if you'd like to sponsor them. Nathan I'm fundraising for people whose voice can't be heard and are struggling with disabilities of all kinds. Melissa This is the second year running for us as an organisation. I'm very excited and honoured to be a part of this again as it's for a great cause that will help and give support to a lot of people, This is close to my heart, I love where I work and helping others. Connor I believe everyone deserves a voice and a chance to be part of society. That’s why I’m asking you to support me and Your Voice Counts by donating whatever you can. Every penny counts and will make a difference in the lives of people who need it most. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. We can help people with different needs and abilities to bring about positive change. Helen I will be running the Great North Run 2023 to raise money for the charity I work for, Your Voice Counts. We believe in listening to and empowering people with different needs and abilities to bring about positive change. Lewis I'm raising money for Your Voice Counts following on the back of last year as they specialise in a lot of good programmes in which many people struggle to speak on and therefore raising money to a cause that gives back to the people is always a good thing in my opinion. Matthew I'm doing the Great North Run for a great charity Your Voice Counts that helps people with autism as well as learning disabilities and mental health. Your Voice Counts has helped me, at a low point in my life at I came to volunteer for them then started to work alongside them as an commissioning officer for people with learning disabilities to have their voices heard across South Tyneside. Your Voice Counts also runs drop ins for people with learning disabilities and autism, this is a safe haven where people can come to make new friends or just for a cuppa and a chat. I am trying to raise at least £250 by doing the Great North Run, I am aiming to do the Run in under three hours and will also be collecting along the way.
