Community Voice

Community Voice is a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund that we're working on in partnership with Vision & Hearing Support and Bliss=Ability.

The project is aimed at people who have learning disabilities, autistic people and people who are at risk of exclusion due to disability, sight loss or who are Deaf or hard of hearing and we organise regular sessions as part of the project to give people the chance to get together and try new things.

Our regular Creative Crew groups are always popular, with one of our peer support workers co-delivering the sessions where people can try different arts and crafts activities in a friendly and relaxed environment.

We also organise trips out for our group and have recently enjoyed visiting a local heritage project that is working with local communities to restore reconstructed Anglo Saxon dwellings. This has been a great opportunity for our group to learn new skills, develop their confidence and make an important contribution to bringing the heritage village to life.

Thank you to everyone for taking part and to our partners and the National Lottery Community Fund for their support.
